Portrait Of A Hanged Man

San Francisco Bay Area power/thrashers IMAGIKA will release their new album, "Portrait Of A Hanged Man", on March 19, 2010 via Metalville. The CD was recorded at Fang Studios in San Mateo, California by IMAGIKA guitarist Steve Rice and was mixed at KING DIAMOND guitarist Andy La Rocque's Sonic Train Studios in Varberg, Sweden. In addition to mixing the effort, La Rocque makes a guest appearance on the instrumental "A God No More". Drummer Henry Moreno was once again responsible for designing all the art for the CD, which marks the recording debut of new bassist Jim Pegram.

Commented vocalist Norman Skinner: "IMAGIKA never wants to make the same record twice and I feel we have created another standout album we can be proud of. This new album is more thrashy, raw, and in your face than its predecessor. We decided this time around to do away with some of the dynamics and keep things much more in the pocket with more concise arrangements and bigger hooks. With 'Portrait of a Hanged Man', the fans can expect catchy, fast-paced, heavy-hitting songs."

Pesado pra cacete esse disco, cheio de riffs fodões, curti muito, talvez o melhor deles (dos que eu já ouvi), pau a pau com o Devils on Both Sides (que é bem menos pesado que esse pelo que me lembro).
Essa banda devia ser muito mais conhecida do que é, injustiça total.
